Ford is recalling 3,745 F-150 vehicles in Australia because a manufacturing defect may leave a fuel-tank strap inadequately secured. The strap could detach while driving, causing a leak and a fire if an external ignition source is present.

The government notice, published 16 October 2026, covers certain 2023–2026 vehicles. Owners can check the VIN list linked in recall REC-006747, campaign 26S69.

Arrange the remedy

Ford will write to affected owners to arrange inspection and repair through an authorised dealer, free of charge. For further information, contact Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 36 73.
