Canadians have until November 15 to give Transport Canada their views on expanding the joint business arrangement between Air Canada and United Airlines. The consultation opened October 16 and remains open.

What is under review

The airlines propose bringing currently excluded Canada–U.S. routes into their arrangement, allowing broader coordination of pricing, flight schedules, marketing and capacity, alongside revenue sharing. The proposal remains under assessment.

Transport Canada seeks views on effects for passengers, the economy and the transport system, including whether approval should carry conditions. All Canadians may participate; travellers and consumer groups are among the audiences specifically invited.

Comments can be submitted through the consultation link on the department’s official page. The consultation does not announce new fares or confirm approval.
