Donald Trump said on 3 November that he had agreed with Benjamin Netanyahu to stop US financial aid to Israel after the end of 2026, while continuing arms sales. His statement does not establish that funding has already stopped.

The existing aid memorandum provides $3.8 billion annually through September 2028. Annual spending still requires congressional appropriations. The account reviewed gives no mechanism for ending payments this year.
